This Sacramental Prep is for all adults who were baptized Catholic and are actively participating in their Faith by attending Sunday Mass and being involved at the parish but were never Confirmed. Our sessions are on Thursdays at 7:00 pm, we have classes in English and classes in Spanish that start in September every year.  Paper registration forms are available in the Parish Office, registration can also be done by filling the online form below. A baptismal and First Holy Communion certificates should be attached to the registration. Also, if you were not baptized at St. Martha, a birth certificate will be needed, we will make a copy of the original for our files.

Once we receive your registration for this upcoming catechetical year, we will contact you regarding the exact date our program starts.

If besides the sacrament of Confirmation, you are also missing the sacrament of the Eucharist, just let us know so you are also prepared to receive your First Holy Communion.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)- 18 years old & older

One of the greatest joys of the Catholic Church is welcoming new believers into the family. The process to make that happen is called the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA). It is a casual and conversational environment where people who are exploring Catholic Christianity get to know more about the basic message of Christ and the mission of His Church. This is an accessible and welcoming way to take a look at the bigger picture about God, Jesus, the Bible, the Christian story and the Catholic Church.

RCIA begins with Inquiry Sessions on a year-round basis which continue until August every year when the catechetical period of RCIA begins for the people that decides they want to move forward on this process. Then, the night before Easter, at the Easter Vigil, those wanting to become Catholic and receive their sacraments are received into the Church. The journey in the RCIA process concludes around June with the Feast of Pentecost.

Inquiry sessions meet every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The RCIA catechetical sessions meet from August to June on Thursday’s evenings at 7:00 pm.

If you would like to become Catholic and have not been baptized or have been baptized in a different Christian faith tradition, the RCIA is for you.

The RCIA for adults is a process that lasts until the people say they are ready and decide they want to become Catholic. There is a yearly tuition of $35.00 once the catechetical period begins each August.  For more information on payments, please contact Ms. Jo Lippman at jlippman@sbdiocese.org or by phone at 951-698-8180 x244.

For more information about registration please contact Ms. Patti Armstrong at parmstrong@sbdiocese.org or by phone at 951-698-8180 x231.

For more information on how to begin this process please contact Deacon Chris Ciraulo at cciraulo@sbdiocese.org or by phone at 951-698-8180 x211.

If you or your spouse have had any former marriages, they must be resolved before the sacrament of Confirmation. If you are contemplating marriage or are currently married outside of the Catholic Church, we need to assist you in completing the steps for the Sacrament of Matrimony most often PRIOR to receiving Confirmation. Please contact Carol or Kirsten at the Pastoral Office as soon as possible so we can assist you with any marriage or annulment preparation needed. We are happy to help you with the process.
