One of the greatest joys of the Church is welcoming new believers into the family. The process to make that happen is called the Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA). It is a casual and conversational environment where people who are exploring Catholic Christianity get to know more about the basic message of Christ and the mission of His Church. This is an accessible and welcoming way to take a look at the bigger picture about God, Jesus, the Bible, the Christian story and the Catholic Church.

RCIA begins with Inquiry Sessions which continue until August when the formal process of RCIA begins. The night before Easter, at the Easter Vigil those wanting to become Catholic are received into the Church. The journey in the RCIA process concludes around June with the Feast of Pentecost.

Inquiry sessions meet every 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6-7pm. in the Family Life Center and the RCIA classes meet from August to June on Thursday evenings at 7pm in the Family Life Center.

If you would like to become Catholic and have not been baptized or, have been baptized in a different Christian faith tradition, RCIA is for you.

If you or your spouse have had any former marriages, they must be resolved before the sacrament of Confirmation. If you are contemplating marriage or are currently married outside of the Catholic Church, we need to assist you in completing the steps for the Sacrament of Matrimony most often PRIOR to receiving Confirmation. Please contact Carol or Kirsten at the Pastoral Office as soon as possible so we can assist you with any marriage or annulment preparation needed. We are happy to help you with the process.
